Immigration Advisory Service (In Administration) (‘the Company’)

Stephen Robert Cork and Joanne Elizabeth Milner of Cork Gully LLP were appointed Joint Administrators of the company on 8 July 2011.

The Company is no longer able to provide legal advice and all offices have now closed.

Legal Aid Clients

The Joint Administrators have worked closely with the Legal Services Commission to procure the transfer of all live legally aided cases to new providers. All live cases have been transferred to new providers and clients should have been contacted by their new legal advisors by now.

Private (fee paying) Clients

Former fee paying clients of the Company should contact the Immigration Advice Service on 0844 887 0111.

Archived Files and Closed Cases

All client files archived prior to the administration are held with third party providers and, given the Company’s insolvency, we are not currently in a position to access these. The Joint Administrators are seeking the Court’s directions as to what should be done in relation to archived files. We have been advised that we should have a decision by the end of February 2012. The website will be updated once the Court has handed down its directions.

Partners and directors act as insolvency practitioners without personal liability.

The affairs, business and property of the Companies are managed by the Joint Administrators who act as the Company’s agents and without personal liability.

Stephen Cork is licensed to act as an insolvency practitioner by the Insolvency Practitioners Association.

Joanne Milner is licensed to act as an insolvency practitioner by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
